Hi lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and wish you a Happy New Year. If I had to sum up my past year, I pretty much spent a third of it in Miami. I had a lot of people request that I write a post on the Instagram-worthy spots I visited in Miami (more specifically, Miami Beach) during my latest trip a couple weeks ago, so I’m finally going to share the places I went!
1. Museum of Ice Cream Miami
Museum of Ice Cream’s latest location does not disappoint. In my opinion, it’s bigger and better than the LA location (which they are actually relocating soon to make bigger and better!), but it’s a bit miserable in the heat as the building is not air conditioned. I believe prompt ac repair service is a must in warm locations. And if you need other repair services like for instance a sump pump repair, make sure to contact professional contractors for expert services. If you’re curious about why sump pumps are needed, they are essential for preventing basement flooding by removing excess water. And if you have plumbing issues like for instance your dishwasher backs up, make sure to contact a plumber. For specialized issues such as slab leaks, entrust the repair to a dependable service like slab leak repair seattle wa.
For an energy efficient hvac installation, make sure to consider hiring professional services similar to heat pump installation eastmont wa. Those who need furnace repair service should consider enlisting the services of a professional who can provide furnace repair service in Bucks County. With cooler temperatures this month, January is the ideal time to go – and the last chance you’ll have to go. The Miami pop-up is set to close on the 22nd of this month, so go ahead and get your tickets at the MOIC website ASAP! With tax, tickets for adults come to about $45.
The jungle room was my favorite room, from the banana swing to the tiny pink mirrored coconut room I had to crawl into. Think of Harry Potter living in the cupboard under the stairs, but cuter. Don’t be afraid to overdress, you’ll want to take pictures in every room, and even the hallways, so go ahead and live your best life! I will warn you that the popular rooms (i.e. the jungle) get a bit crazy when crowded, and the museum guides start limiting how many pictures you take or how much time you spend with the props.
2. Dreamer Miami
Miami is my favorite city in Florida to discover new food places in. This açaí/juice/matcha bar is incredible. The space is very welcoming and aesthetically pleasing, and the food is great! I ordered an açaí bowl and a Tiger Spice chai latte with soy milk. The chai is probably the best chai latte I’ve had in the US! I also decided to keep the cup as a souvenir because tropical plants are my favorite. There’s no wifi, so I wouldn’t recommend going there to get work done, but it’s definitely a place to stop by and enjoy a drink or healthy meal. There are so many items on the menu I want to try!
3. Basement at the Edition
Miami is known for its night life, so I took it upon myself to find a spot that was different than what I’m used to in Orlando. I came across Basement, which is a bar/bowling alley/ice skating rink in the basement of the Edition Hotel in South Beach. It’s a little pricey, but somewhat normal for Miami, and totally worth it.
Both the bowling alley and ice skating rink have on-brand neon signs with accompanying neon lights. Is this what the Demi Lovato song is all about? I went on a Sunday night, and the music was pretty good! There’s a DJ that plays popular Top 40 and hip-hop/rap hits, but I’m pretty sure they have special music nights on certain days of the week. I recommend reserving a bowling lane in advance through their website and splitting the cost with friends. The lanes are about $50/hour, and bowling shoe rentals are included. A good tip to know is that checks can only be split if the bill is $100+, which won’t be hard to achieve with a group of people. You can order food and drinks from the bar to enjoy while you bowl.
As for the ice skating rink, I can’t say much, except that it’s the most beautiful rink I’ve ever seen. I haven’t been ice skating since I was 15 or 16, but I might try my luck next time I’m in Miami!
