On our last day in Chicago, my friends and I had a little time to explore the city before going to the airport. We wanted to go to the Willis Tower Skydeck, but around 11 AM, the line was already an hour long, and we still hadn’t tried deep dish pizza! We mostly wandered around downtown and found ourselves at American Apparel and Urban Outfitters. Most importantly, we ended up going to Giordano’s for their lunch special (deep dish pizza, a salad, and a drink for under $10!). Here’s what I wore:
I’m wearing the Striped Shirt With Kimono Sleeves from Zara with sand colored shorts from Cache (which sadly isn’t a thing anymore), the backpack I got from the Zara sale, and my Lola Shoetique Sunset Paradise sandals (sold out). My sunglasses were a random find at Aldo. I ended up throwing my rust colored Zara trench over the outfit since it was quite windy that day.
Also worth mentioning is the fact that we started our day with coffee (chai in my case) from Intelligentsia, a coffee shop with locations in the nation’s largest metropolitan areas. I went to one in New York last winter, and although the locations are in different parts of the country and have different baristas, I have yet to be disappointed!
To sum things up, I fell in love with Chicago in just one weekend, and here’s some advice to anyone planning a trip there: never limit yourself to spending just three days in Chicago. I hope to go back and explore more of the city sometime in the future. Also, a huge thanks to everyone who’s been keeping up with my Chicago post!
