At the beginning of the month, I got to attend the Kiehl’s Disney Springs Grand Opening event thanks to some of my fellow blogger babes. It was an incredible experience as you may have seen on my Instagram. I wanted to put together a recap for you lovelies as well as give you my thoughts on the goodies I received at the event!
The full sized products I received are the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Midnight Recovery Eye, Creme de Corps Whipped Body Butter, and the Butterstick Lip Treatment SPF 25 in Pure Petal. I got samples of the Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque and the Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque. Such products would be a perfect match for items like that derma roller.
I’ll preface my review by letting you all know that I love Kiehl’s. I have been using their Ultra Facial Toner and Moisturizer for years, and I haven’t bought anything else since. I was really pleased with all of the products I received to take home. For reference, I have sensitive skin that tends to only get oily in my t-zone areas and can get dry in harsh climates everywhere else.
Midnight Recovery Concentrate – According to their website, this serum restores and replenishes for smoother, healthier skin. It is designed to work at night while the skin naturally repairs itself. The oil is a blend of lavender, evening primrose, and squalene. I’ve been using it at night for the past two weeks and it does what it’s supposed to do. When working hard on blogging and schoolwork, it’s so easy to neglect my skin, but the Midnight Recovery Concentrate has allowed me to restore a healthy glow. I can’t fully attest to the smoother skin part, since my skin is pretty smooth to begin with, but I have definitely been looking more lively since using the product! The cost is pretty steep, as the smallest size retails at $46, but if you have tried everything to restore a healthy glow and don’t know what else to do, get this.
Midnight Recovery Eye – Being of South Asian descent, dark under eye circles are inevitable. Being busy most of the time doesn’t help it either. I have been using this product for two weeks as well and I’ve seen less puffiness under my eyes. Midnight Recovery Eye promises to replenish and strengthen the skin under eyes, reduce the appearance of fine lines, as well as puffiness and dark under-eye circles. It has the same oil blend as the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, with a Butcher’s Broom blend that reduces inflammation. This product retails for $37 and is definitely worth the price. A little bit goes a long way.
(Note: there are no parabens, fragrance, mineral oil or silicones in this product)
Creme de Corps Body Butter – One thing I look for in a body moisturizer is its ability to be absorbed by skin without leaving greasy residue that will make me sweat in the Florida heat. My top body moisturizers are L’Occitane’s Almond Oil, LUSH’s Charity Pot, and now the Creme de Corps Body Butter. My skin was fully moisturized with a subtle, barely noticeable scent the entire day on days that I’ve used it. I haven’t experienced any greasiness in the two weeks I have been using Creme de Corps, which makes it a winner in my book. It retails for $38-$48 depending on the size of the body butter.
Butterstick Lip Treatment SPF 25 in Pure Petal – I don’t know why, but my lips have been so dry lately. All of my old tricks like using a lip scrub twice a week, sleeping with Vaseline on my lips, and more just haven’t been working. Enter the Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment. This thing has changed my life! I have tried other products that promise hydration for up to twelve hours, but this lip treatment is the first one that has actually been absorbed into my skin. My lips have been a lot less chapped in the two weeks that I’ve been using it, and for me it is personally worth the $20 price tag.
The masque samples – Of the two samples, I have only tried the Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque once, and so far, so good. It left my skin feeling really soft, and throughout the week, I didn’t have any random breakouts. I honestly don’t ever see a huge difference in my skin using any mask, but this is a really good mask that adds to the healthy glow that the Midnight Recovery line has been giving me. I hope to try the other masque at the end of this week and my thoughts will be up on my Instagram story!
As for the event, it was incredible. The store is 100% my aesthetic, and being a native New Yorker, I love the tribute to New York. The associates that were present were all really nice, welcoming, and helpful without being too clingy. Patrick Starrr also made an appearance, and he’s an absolute sweetheart. His makeup is also FLAWLESS in person!
If you want the TL;DR version of this post… you should definitely check out the new Kiehl’s Disney Springs location in Orlando, Florida. If you don’t have the chance to, check out your local Kiehl’s anyway and talk to an associate. Their products have never let me down, and the blend of scientific study + nature is the perfect combination for a skincare brand.
What are your thoughts on Kiehl’s? Let me know in the comments 🙂
